SEARCH SEMINAR

We believe in affordable training and bringing the fire ground to you! We will spend the day drilling the basics of search through vetted instructors who have performed hundreds of live searches. The seminar is designed for the one-to-thirty-year firefighter looking to enhance their search skillset.

H.O.T. TRACKS

THE PRIMARY

PRIMARY SEARCH

This station will focus on the objectives, functions and fundamentals of a primary search in a small apartment or small residential home style layout under artificial smoke.

METH SHED

HOARDER SEARCH

"The Meth Shed" This station is designed to replicate hoarding and heavy content structures and provide you the opportunity to complete a search and remove victims from this layout.

TRAILER HOUSE

"The Trailer House" This track is designed to VES a mobile home or single-story residential window under live fire with realistic fire conditions and remove a simulated victim.

VES

VES

This station will cover the parameters of when to VES, why, how and with different levels of manpower. This is done under artificial smoke.

ACCESS FOR DA SEARCH

This station is designed to present you with issues such as parked cars, power lines, doors you will have to force and obstacles to get through just to get to the house and complete a search under live fire!

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

 The entire day is focused on search, there will be safety measures taken to ensure the fires will be in check by qualified live burn instructors, while maintaining to keep our training as realistic and safe as possible.

 

The student will have the opportunity to be in real fire and smoke conditions in a residential and apartment style layout with simulated victims. This class is designed so that whether you have completed one search to fifty searches over the course of your career, you have an ample opportunity to correct bad training scars in a controlled environment.

Instructor backgrounds are important when teaching such a subject in the fire service. Our lead instructors have spent fifteen to twenty years a piece on large metro-style department truck companies, smaller city truck and engine companies and combination rural department companies with countless searches under their belt. Vetted support instructors will also be in the mix assisting in different areas of the day.
